There are plenty hilarious laugh out loud moments in this modern dilemma comedy from director Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2, 2014), with rival dads Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg pitted  against each other. Mild-mannered, strait-laced Brad (Will Ferrell) is married to Sarah (Linda Cardellini) and works hard to be a good stepdad to her two young children. Unfortunately, they seem resistant to his charms. Matters become even more difficult for Brad when their biological father Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) unexpectedly reappears on the scene. He’s everything that Brad isn’t: a buff, cool, leather-jacketed, motorbike-riding bad boy dude. Naturally, the kids are overjoyed to see him. Now Brad has a real fight on his hands to win their affections.

Comedy heavyweight Will Ferrell (Zoolander, 2016; Elf, 2003; Anchorman 1 & 2) and Hollywood heart-throb Mark Wahlberg (Ted 2, 2015) reunite (The Other Guys, 2010) for this hilarious comedy of escalating family warfare in which pets, treehouses and even goodnight kisses are used as weapons. The escalating chaos is expertly orchestrated by the writer/director team behind Sex Drive and Horrible Bosses 2.

Strong supporting work from the talented ensemble, especially Thomas Haden Church and Bobby Cannavale, add to the belly-laugh quota in this satisfying comedy.
