Synopsis: More monsters and more problems when the gang of Hotel Transylvania return in this eagerly-awaited sequel to the 2012 monster hit. Count Dracula isn’t happy. Though he has a grandson now in the shape of Dennis, he’s disappointed that the little chap isn’t, well, enough of a proper vampire. So when Dennis’ parents, Mavis and Johnny, go on holiday, the Count enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne, Griffin and Blobbie, to help put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. Meanwhile, to add to Dracula’s woes, his father, Vlad, turns up, and blows his top when he finds out that Hotel Transylvania now accepts humans… The world’s most fangtastic hotel proprietor, Count Dracula (Adam Sandler), returns for another hilarious animated adventure.

Director Genndy Tartakowsky (Hotel Transylvania 2012) brings back more monsters with more problems in this sequel. Adam Sandler co-wrote the script and voices Dracula with some stellar chums like Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, and – as Dracula’s father – the legendary Mel Brooks.
This fantasy animated comedy film is set some years after the original with the hotel now open to human guests. Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Johnny (Andy Samberg) have a young son, Dennis (Asher Blinkoff) but his lack of any apparent vampire traits is worrying grandfather, Dracula. An unexpected visit from Dracula’s old school human-hating father Vlad creates further problems.
The pun-packed script, the clever artwork and the humorous gallery of characters – especially Dracula – make this a good seasonal choice for children and adults alike.
