Synopsis: The Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet. Minutes after Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson left the masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement; Laurie was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she had finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

The director is David Gordon Green [Halloween (2018), Stronger (2017), Pineapple Express (2008)] In 2018, his Halloween, starring icon Jamie Lee Curtis, was a box office smash, earning more than $250 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing chapter in the four-decade franchise and setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend in history for a horror film starring a woman.

As the second film in this new trilogy, Halloween Kills picks up immediately where its predecessor left off. Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement; Laurie was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she had finally killed her lifelong tormentor. Unfortunately for everyone, a team of firefighters rescues the unstoppable killing machine. It is Halloween again and his ritual bloodbath resumes.

With a cry of “Evil dies tonight”, Halloween Kills is aimed at hardcore fans and should satisfy those in search of brutal slasher thrills and hardcore horror violence, but it doesn’t really move the Michael Myers saga forward.

He is now a man in his 60s defying multiple stab wounds, bullets, contusions and beatings, and any number of aggressive defensive violence – the list goes on.

It is visually impressive – a dark and gritty film, which ups the game of visceral killing and immerses the viewer in the slaughtering gore.

Halloween Kills is a watchable and entertaining enough movie, and Michael Myers is not exhausted yet! The film is sure to bring pleasure and thrills to fans of the franchise.
