High School pupil Anna (Ella Hunt) has big plans to leave her hometown and travel the world. As Christmas approaches, something strange lurks in the air, and it doesn’t take long for the undead to put a halt to her plans. Glasgow’s own John McPhail [Where Do We Go from Here? (2015)] – with music and lyrics by Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly – brings us a zombie musical mash-up full of blood, tinsel and a Christmas like no other. With a sparkling soundtrack packed with original new tunes, Anna and the Apocalypse is a delightfully creative (if gory) story of friendship and survival.

With a strong ensemble cast, this musical zom-com horror is a fun genre mash-up packed with characters the viewer can root for. It looks certain to become a future cult classic.
