Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), a dapper Koala who presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal optimist—okay, maybe a bit of a scoundrel—who loves his theatre above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now facing the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.

Written and directed by Garth Jennings [Son of Rambow (2007)] this anthropomorphic talent show is pure fun and entertainment for all the family. It boasts a stellar voice cast and a diverse range of music for all ages – Dolly Parton, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Leonard Cohen to name but a few – and the action has energy, wit and humour.

All the characters are loveable – each with their own individual personalities – and there is something for everyone as Sing features over 85 hit songs from the 1940s to 2016.
