The hugely talented director, actor and playwright Zach Braff plays Aidan Bloom, a 35-year-old man who finds himself at major crossroads, forcing him to examine his life, career and his family to the screen.

Braff, best known for his role as Dr John ‘J.D’ Dorian on the television series Scrubs (2001) funded this, his second film as director (after Garden State (2004), on Kickstarter, raising over $3m.

An honest and heart-warming rites of passage family story, it avoids being mawkish and features outstanding realistic performances from the young cast members, Joey King (Grace) and Pierce Gagnon (Tucker), with an outstanding appearance from Mandy Patinkin (Gabe).

A sharp, witty and meaningful script, co-written by Zach and older brother Adam J. Braff, makes for an entertaining and interesting family drama.
